The YETI Hopper Flip Cooler Mount is out. It carries a Hopper Flip 8 or a Hopper Flip 12 in the lower slot of a CYBEX Gazelle S or eGazelle S — which means the cooler stops eating the storage basket, and cold drinks stop living at the bottom of it under everything you packed afterwards.
The real problem is not holding a cooler. It is where you hold it.
A cooler full of ice and cans is the heaviest thing most people will ever hang on a stroller, and hanging weight is the single most common way a stroller tips. It is why every stroller manual in the world tells you not to hang a bag from the handlebar.
Handlebar is the easy place to mount something. It is also the worst one: it is high, it is behind the rear axle, and every pound there works as a lever trying to rotate the frame backwards — most dangerously at the exact moment you tilt the stroller to get up a curb.
So the design question was never "can a bracket hold twenty pounds." It was where the twenty pounds has to sit so the stroller still behaves like a stroller. The answer is low, and inside the wheelbase, where the weight is carried rather than levered.
That is why this mount uses the Gazelle's lower position, and why there is no handlebar version and never will be.
What it's rated for
A completely full cooler. Pack the Hopper Flip to capacity — ice, cans, bottles, whatever fits. You do not need to weigh anything or hold back.
We deliberately spec it that way rather than publishing a number in pounds. Nobody weighs their cooler. "Will it hold mine when it's full?" is the question people actually have, so that is the question the spec answers.
What it never carries is a person's weight. No child sits, stands, leans or climbs on a mounted cooler. It is a cooler mount, not a perch, and nothing other than the cooler hangs from it.
Two sizes, two different parts
The Hopper Flip 8 and the Hopper Flip 12 each get their own mount, shaped to that cooler. They are not one adjustable part, and they do not substitute for each other — a different bag will not seat a little looser or tighter, it will not seat at all.
Check which one you own before ordering. It is written on the cooler.
The Gazelle makes you choose
The Gazelle S and eGazelle S have one lower mounting position. So down there it is the cooler mount or the CYBEX Gazelle Shopping Basket — not both.
That is a real constraint and we would rather you know it now than at the trailhead. Both parts come on and off without tools, so switching between them by trip is reasonable; owning both and picking one per outing is how we use ours.
Everything above the lower slot is unaffected. The toddler seat, carrycot and infant car seat mount as usual, and the seat still reclines fully with either cooler fitted.
And it comes off before the stroller folds
Cooler off, mount off, then fold. Folding with it fitted can damage the mount, the cooler or the frame. Same rule as every part we make — see installation and safety.
What this one is really about
Every part we make starts from the same place: you already bought the thing. You own the cooler. You own the stroller. The only reason they do not work together is that two companies never had a reason to talk to each other.
That is not a physics problem. It is a business decision, and it is one parents pay for twice.
